Our story began when we were only 16 years old. As a secondary school students we suddenly fell in love and soon afterwards we had discovered our strongest passion - love for exploring the world and seeing its natural and cultural pearls.
How did we even manage to discover our passion for travelling?
A crucial breakthrough came in 2011, when we were deciding between the final graduation trip and our first major journey. Against continuous parties, alcohol and sleepless nights there was a stronger wish to feel something more genuine and unique – a dream for fabulous adventure, which would have stuck in our memory forever. Not even for a split second we dared to imagine that Canary Islands will so drastically change our way of thinking. Unbeatable desire to constantly discover our fascinating planet became our regular fixture.
A graduate professor of class teaching who is right now finishing her master’s degree. Dreamy girl, who already dreamed of discovering the world in her childhood, but that seemed far from possible for her and too good to be true. Everything has changed in her teenage years, when she met Daniel. He gave her new thinking & different perspectives concerning the way of seeing the world. From that moment on she doesn’t dream anymore, but instead lives her childhood dreams. Quite early in life she was diagnosed with a lifelong celiac disease, with which she decided to fight with optimism. Katja adores excellent Turkish coffee, great books, the sound of crashing waves, birds singing and winter joys in the nature. When we hit the road she is the one who takes great care to spare our time also for relaxing and run away from everyday hustle. Her motto is: “Life offers us only one chance, so let us spread our wings, explore and discover astonishing diversities of our world, let us fall into the new adventures and take time for ourselves in order to escape from everyday reality.”
A passionate historian and geographer, who is finishing his master’s thesis in Ljubljana from modern history. Besides specializing in military topics, he also writes history research papers about the totalitarian national-socialist regime. Traveling, from his perspective, almost never presents calm vacation and laying leisurely all day long. Daniel gets his real relaxation and layoff with being constantly on the road, visiting museums and continuously discovering desolated places. This kind of travel has its magical meaning for him, because traveling symbolizes learning about foreign cultures and habits. He understands exploring of the world as a way of collecting precious and irreplaceable life experiences and gaining the type of education, which you cannot find in the list of offers of any school institutions. On top of everything, he also adores watching and playing tennis. Consequently, no matter where he is, he will do anything to follow all Roger Federer’s events faithfully. Occasionally even live. Daniel’s motto carries a clear message: “Life is just one, so it has to be unique. Take advantage, live it out and experience it, so we will never be forced to regret anything.”
